TheEco-Villainsareasmallgroupofantagonistswhocausedangertotheplanetthroughpollution,deforestation,poaching,andotherenvironmentallyunsafeactivities.Theyenjoythedestructiontheycausetotheplanetandtheharmtheybringtoobtainwealth,land,orpower.TheEco-Villainstendtoworkalonemostofthetime,althoughthey'rewillingtoworkwithoneanotherwhenitsuitstheirplans.WhentheEco-VillainsaredefeatedbyCaptainPlanetandthePlaneteers,theywouldmostlybearrestedbytheauthorities.Onlyinthetwo-partepisode"SummittoSaveEarth"didtheentireensembleofEco-VillainsworkasateamwithZarmastheleader.Eachofthesevillainsrepresentsaspecificwayofthoughtthatcancauseecologicalproblems.
