hestoryboardsandreachedthedecisionthatKimwouldbekilledoff.Whattheheckweretheythinking?Theyobviouslymisreadtheiraudienceinafundamentalway,andIcanonlyhopethatGMMTVtakesheedofmisfireslikeTheShipperwhentheyhirethenextproductioncompanytomountaBLseries.InaboutthreemonthsIplantodoanexperimentwhereI'llapproachafewBLfansatrandomandaskthemwhattheyremembermostaboutTheShipper.IthinkIknowwhattheanswerwillbe.InthemeantimeI'llbecheckinginwithTheShipper'sMDLpageeverynowandthentoseehowmanycommentsareNOTaboutthecrappyending.(Notmany,Ibet.)Thisisthedangerofmessingwithagenrethatpeopleabsolutelylove.But,afterwhatamountstothreedisastrousdecisionsinthreeexpensivelyproducedseries,I'mstartingtowonderifanyoneinchargereallycares.ReadMoreWasthisreviewhelpfultoyou?YesNoCancel CompletedBlkittykat48peoplefoundthisreviewhelpfulOtherreviewsbythisuser4Jun12,202012of12episodesseenCompleted4Overall9.5Story9.0Acting/Cast10Music9.0RewatchValue8.5ThisreviewmaycontainspoilersThishasbeenaseriesI’vebeenlookingforwardtosincetheinitialtrailerwasreleasedandletmetellyou,itdoesnotdisappoint.Fromtheverybeginningthestoryhasbeenconsistent,heartfeltandfunny.TheShipperisaperfectexampleofafujoshi’simagination,includinghowfaritcanbetakenandhowfarfromrealityitactuallyis.InitiallypromotedasaBL,thestorysoontakesadifferentturn,averygooddiversion.ImyselfamaBLloverandthereasonIstartedthisserieswasactuallytogetmyreplacementfor2gethertheseries,butthisturnedouttobesomethingIverymuchenjoyed.I’mstillveryconfusedaboutastowhotoship,butthat’swhatmakesthisshowitself-it’sextremelyunpredictable.Oneminuteyou’reonaBLship,thenextaheterosexualshipandthenext,(I’mactuallyashamedtosaythis)asortofincestyship.Butthat’swhatmakesthisseriessogood,thefactthatit’srealistic,butatthesametimedoesn’ttakeitselftooseriously.THESTORY:ThisiswhatIimaginefujoshistobelike.It’sveryrealistic,youknow,exceptforthesoulswapstuff.Seriouslythough,thisserieshasanextremelyinvestivestoryandveryreal,veryflawedcharacters.Theoneswenevergettoactuallyseeonourscreens.Thecharacterswhomakemistakesandareabletoadmitit.Thecharacterswhosometimesactbeforethinking,justasactualhumansdoattimes.Thecharacterswhohaveproblemsanddon’thaveperfectlives.Thecharacterswhoverymuchresembleourselvesandthecharacterswhoareactuallyworthrootingfor.AlthoughIwouldhavelovedtoseeKiminPan’sbody,Ican’tsayI’mdisappointed.Theygaveustheexactstorythattheypromised,inawellwrittenwaytoo.THEACTING:Perfection.Theactingisperfect.Eachcharacterisbeautifullyportrayedandwritten.Everysinglememberofthecastisperfectastheircharacterandevenoutofthem.IfImentionedeveryactorandhowwellthey’vebeenportrayingtheirrole,let’sjustsaythiswouldbeaverylongreview.I’llsayjustthis,thisserieshitthejackpotwiththecast.ThewayeveryemotionisclearandcorrectforeverysceneisveryrareandthisissomeofthebestactingI’veseeninawhile.THEPRODUCTION:Theproductionhasbeenspectacular.ThelevelofproductionhasbeensignificantlyhighinGMMTVshows,butthisisacutabovetherest.Thepremisemayberepetitive,whatwiththesoulswapping,butthisserieshasgenuinelifelessonsandawellexecutedplot.Itmaybeunrealisticattimes,butIbelievethatwasthepointproductionwastryingtomake.THEOST:TheOSThonestlyslaps.It’ssweetandlighthearted,verymuchliketheshow.ThevideofortheOSTthough!That’sthecutests**tI’veseeninalongtime.Thesecondtrackthough.Ihaveafeelingthatafterthisfinale,ImightcryabiteverytimeIhearitandIlistentoitalot.Like,alot!!THENEGATIVE:NowIknowthestudent-teacherrelationshipwasneededtomovetheplotalong,butcomeon!She’s40(sorry39)andhe’s17?Icringedsohardatthosescenes.Also,violenceisneverokay.Itdoesn’tmatterwhatthesituationis.VIOLENCEISNEVEROKAY.OnethingIhavetosayisnever,everexposesomeone’slifeorsecrets.Wemayneverknowwhatitisthatthey’regoingthrough,sostayconsiderate.THEENDING:That’stheendingyou’regoingwithhuh?IwashonestlyhopingthatWayKimwouldhaveahappyending,butitiswhatitis.Myheartisbrokenandguessthat’sthat.Despitethat,thefinalewasquitegood.EveryonegottheirhappyendingsandthelastframeoftheseriesmakesmebelievejustalittlebitthatWayKimwillhaveonetoo.Ireallyhopethereisasecondseason.(God,pleaselettherebeanotherseason!)ThegreatthingaboutthisseriesisthatsomanyofusstartedwatchingitfortheBL,butweseemtohavecontinuedwatchingitforwhatittrulyis,abeautifulandheartfeltstoryfulloflaughterandtears.Thisserieshasquicklybecomeafavouriteofmineandforgoodreason.Despitehavinglowviewingandnotmuchexposure.Ihopeeveryonegivesthisshowatry.Thecastandcrewdeservethatandmore.Hopethisreviewhasbeenhelpfultoallyouconfusedindividualsoutthere.Ifyoudodecidetowatchitandareconfusedaboutwhotoship,don’tworry,I’mprettysurethecharactersthemselvesdon’t.ThankYou!ReadMoreWasthisreviewhelpfultoyou?YesNoCancel
