AsanewUniversitywithprofoundhistory,NationalTaipeiUniversityhasachievedoutstandingresearchresultsinsustainabledevelopmentinrecentyears.ProfessorYu-ShanChen,DeanofCollegeofBusiness,andDr.Chia-AnKufromtheDepartmentofRealEstateandBuiltEnvironmentwereinvitedtosharetheirresearchonTaiwanSustainabilityValueIndex,CarbonNegativeConceptonNTPU,andDisasterManagementinTaiwan.  Duringlunchtime,ProfessorLinexplainedthatIsraelisoneofthemosteducatedcountriesintheworld.Itisnotonlywellknownforitshigh-techindustriesbutalsoforitsacademicandteachingachievements.NTPUwouldliketobuildstrongerconnectionswiththeISECOthroughvariousactivitiessuchasexhibitions,lectures,workshops,overseasvolunteerservices,orestablishingjointscholarships.Mr.Caspirespondedthattheywouldbehappytoparticipateinvariousactivitiestoenhancerelationshipsbetweenbothsides.Thismeetingisjustthebeginning,andNTPUwillcontinuetoworkwithISECOinpromotingmoreopportunitiesforcooperationinthenearfuture.SYSTEM.NEWS.閱讀全文aboutTheIsraelEconomic&CultureOfficeinTaipeivisitedNationalTaipeiUniversityOfficeofInternationalAffairsAttendedtheFirstJointSymposiumbetweenSixERSandUniversitySystemofTaipeiDecember24,2021OnDecember16,2021,theOfficeofInternationalAffairsofNationalTaipeiUniversity(NTPU)participatedinthefirstjointsymposiumbetweentheUniversitySystemofTaipei(UST)andtheSixERS.ThiseventwashostedbytheNationalTaipeiUniversityofTechnology.ThelecturerrepresentativesfromNTPUwereDr.Chien-HaoFufromtheDepartmentofPublicFinance,Dr.Kuo-HsunMafromtheDepartmentofSociology,andDr.Chia-AnKu,fromtheDepartmentofRealEstateandBuiltEnvironment. Intheopeningceremony,theDeanoftheOfficeofInternationalAffairs,Prof.Wen-ILinintroducedthehistoryandkeyfeaturesofNTPUandexpressedhisinterestinhavingmorepossibilitiesofacademicexchangesandresearchwithSixERSinthefuture.Hesincerelyhopedthataftertheepidemic,bothmemberscoulddevelopdeeprelationshipsandunderstandingsthroughmutualvisits,whichwouldleadtomoreconcretecooperation. Duringtheforum,Dr.Chien-HaoFufocusedonthetopicof''FinancialDistressandOlderAdult'sLivingandCaregivingArrangements''.Heexploredthepossibleinfluencesofcaregivingandlivingarrangementsfortheelderly.Inanagingsociety,aginginplaceisthepreferredlivingstyleformostolderadults.Therefore,ensuringgoodcareforthemisoneofthemostimportantandchallengingissuesforcountriesfacingrapidlyagingpopulations.Ingeneral,informalcareprovidedbyfamilymembersistheprimarysupportforelderlies. Dr.Kuo-HsunMapresentedthetopicof“IntergenerationalInfluences,EducationalExpectation,andGenderRoleAttitudes,andTransitiontoParenthoodAmongYoungTaiwaneseAdults.”Heexplainedhoweducationandcareeradvancementofthepreviousgenerationwouldaffectthefertilitydesiresandbehaviorsofthenextgeneration,leadingtodelayedchildbearing.Researchshowsthatparentingattitudeshaveasignificantimpactonthefertilityofthenextgeneration.Inadditiontoparents’educationalexpectations,thegenderroleattitudes,educationalpreferences,anddifferentialtreatmentofgendermaycausechildrentodelayhavingchildrenordecidetohavefewerchildren. Dr.Chia-AnKuconcludedthattheagingsocietyisacommonprobleminmoderncountries.Peopleneedmoreresearchanddiscussiontofindsolutionsfacinganagingsociety.Thisjointsymposiumisonlythebeginning.USTandSixERSmaycontinuetofocusonrelatedissuesandsharetheobservationsandresearchresultsinthefuture.
