Theprovabilityofanargumentthroughdeductivereasoningreliesonthetruthofitsassumedpremises.Theargumentmaybevalidorinvalid,independentlyofwhethertheyaresound.Theargument’svaliditydependsonwhethertheconclusionnaturallyfollowsfromthepremises.Ifthestatementsofferedaspremisesaretrue,andtheconclusionfollowsnaturallyfromthosepremises,thenadeductiveargumentisconsideredtobevalid.
