研究方法：採立意取樣，研究對象來自三所性質不同的大學，共385位大學生，其中男性189名、女性196名，參與者皆填寫以下問卷：人格特質量表、社會比較傾向量表、社會比較量表、情境認同量表以及憂鬱量表。

資料分析方面，採用皮爾森積差相關、獨立樣本t檢定、結構方程模式、單因子變異數分析以及共變數分析等統計方法驗證假設。

研究結果：(1)男女在使用社會比較策略上沒有顯著差異；(2)神經質越高，越偏好貶抑型的社會比較策略(3)貶抑型社會比較策略，最不利於憂鬱情緒；(4)排除神經質對憂鬱的影響後，社會比較策略仍對憂鬱具有顯著的影響；(5)社會比較策略在神經質與憂鬱程度間具中介效果結論：(1)大學生所採用的社會比較策略會影響其憂鬱情緒表現；(2)個體所具備的神經質特質可能會透過所採取的社會比較策略，進而對憂鬱情緒產生影響。

本研究結果有助於了解台灣的大學生在人際互動過程中採用的社會比較策略對其憂鬱情緒的影響，做為大學生心理諮商輔導之參考。
