二、功用     專利資訊幫助研究者確認新點子.產品可行性，節省時間.金錢及避免重複。

瞭解並掌握各國專利資訊，評估與預測技術發展，以保障自身相關技術的權益；藉各國申請狀況以瞭解其技術研發層次，規劃自己的技術發展項目，並掌握企業發展動向及市場實際需求。

三、認識專利資訊     有專利公報、專利說明書、專利摘要及索引工具書等。

 專利公報  各國專利主管機構對外揭露申請人所提的專利申請內容，及相關書目資料的文書。

以台灣為例，專利公報主要內容有：書目資料、申請專利範圍、圖示等。

 專利說明書  是將專利內容文字化的重要文件，是申請專利時必備的文件之一。

此文件為發明內容的文字敘述，也是其技術說明，以及用圖示解釋契約條款的資料依據。

  四、如何找到專利資料     專利公報、專利說明書是屬公開文獻，所以我們可以利用各國專利局公開的專利資料庫檢索平台，查詢需要的專利資訊。
